Supreme Court Justice MR Shah suffers heart attack in Himachal, being airlifted to Delhi

Supreme Court judge Justice MR Shah suffered a mild heart attack in Himachal Pradesh. He is now stable and is being airlifted to Delhi for treatment.

Supreme Court judge Justice MR Shah suffered a mild heart attack in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. He is being brought to Delhi by air ambulance for treatment.

According to the doctors treating the Supreme Court judge, his condition is stable and under control.

Meanwhile, the apex court administration is in direct contact with the Law and Home Ministries in this regard.

Justice Shah will be admitted to a private hospital as soon as he reaches Delhi. The specialist doctors at the facility have been alerted prior to his arrival.

According to sources, Chief Justice of India N V Ramana is in touch with the people around Justice Shah and asked the concerned officials to update him about his condition.

Shah, 64-year-old, has served as a judge of the Gujarat High Court, and then became the chief justice of the Patna High Court before taking charge as a Supreme Court judge in 2018 and is scheduled to retire on May 15, 2023.
