NEW DELHI: Several stocks rallied as much as 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the red amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that surged in excess of 15% included, RS Software(20.0%), Tera Software(19.97%), Yogi Infra Proj(19.95%), Maximus Intl.(19.36%), Jayant
.(19.1%), Intnl Travel(19.07%), Aki India(18.19%), Wardwizard Innov(PP)(17.63%),
(15.84%) and
Ltd.(15.78%).
The 30-share BSE Sensex ended 372.46 points down at 53514.15, while the 50-share index, NSE closed 91.65 points down at 15966.65.
In the Nifty50 index, 28 stocks closed in the green, while 22 stocks ended in the red.
Meanwhile, stocks such as Maximus Intl., Jayant Infratech Ltd., Maruti Interior Products Ltd.,
and
hit their fresh 52-week high, while Foods & Inns, Vikas Proppant & Gr,
Ltd.,
and
touched their new 52-week low in today’s trade.
