By Medha Chawla: Kate Middleton paid a sweet nod to Princess Diana as she attended an event at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. The new Princess of Wales dazzled in a white gown at the state banquet and was seen sporting a tiara for the first time in three years.
For the special evening, Middleton glowed in an elegant white gown featuring sparkling embellishments on the shoulders. The statement-making garment also boasted stylish cape-style sleeves. To complete her look for the event, she opted for the exquisite Lover’s Knot tiara, which was a favourite of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana.
Take a look:
The tiara, adorned with diamonds and pearls, was embraced by Princess Diana several times during her time as the Princess of Wales.
Not just the tiara, Kate Middleton also wore Princess Diana’s pearl-and-diamond drop earrings to round off her elegant look for the state banquet. She completed the look with Queen Elizabeth’s pearl bracelet.
Queen Consort Camilla also paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II as she wore her Belgian Sapphire tiara. She sported it with a royal blue gown and a matching assemblage of necklace and bracelet.
