NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:10AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market.
Gland Pharma(up 1.36 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals(up 1.28 per cent), Granules India(up 0.77 per cent), Divis Laboratories(up 0.53 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma(up 0.45 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Ipca Laboratories(down 0.96 per cent), Alkem Laboratories(down 0.66 per cent), Abbott India(down 0.59 per cent), Cipla(down 0.47 per cent) and Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals(down 0.47 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.02 per cent at 12966.1 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 54.55 points at 18567.3, while the BSE Sensex was up 224.16 points at 62517.8.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 29 were trading in the green, while 21 were in the red.
