Moving forward to the end of 2022, there is a slight increase in executive roles being onboarded in the forex, crypto and fintech industry despite all the turmoil and redundancies in the current market. Let’s review the executives that have taken on new roles and challenges in our executive moves roundup of the week.

Capital.com Hires Former IG Executive Greg Adams as Head of RiskCapital.com has recruited Greg Adams as the Head of Risk, thus enhancing its executive team. He is based in London and has already joined the new company.

Adams took over the role at Capital.com having recently left IG, where he spent 17 years of his career. He joined the London-headquartered broker in January 2006 in a Credit Operations role and climbed the corporate ladder, holding several positions in the field of risk management. He separated from IG as the Head of Risk Assurance which he fulfilled over five years.

Johan Wiese Joins IG Markets South Africa as DirectorJohan Wiese has joined the online trading
provider’s subsidiary, IG Markets South Africa (IGMSA), as a Director.

Wiese was appointed Director
on the 30th of last month, the firm’s latest Companies House filing shows. In addition, a separate filing discloses that IGMSA has terminated the appointment of Richard
Heading as a Director at the firm.

Hargreaves Lansdown Names Dan Olley as New CEOHargreaves Lansdown plc (LON: HL) has named Dan Olley as the new Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director to replace Chris Hill. The appointment came with approval from the company but is now pending regulatory greenlight.

The appointment came after Hill announced his decision to retire last October. Olley will take over the new role next year once “released from current obligations.” Until then, Hill will remain as the CEO and, after that, will associate with the firm until November 2023 to support the transition.

Muinmos Appoints Jens Woeste and Michael Thirer as DirectorsMuinmos has appointed Jens Woeste as its new Commercial Director. Woeste, the Founder of the software
company, Curo Investing, will take over the position from Michael Thirer who has
been appointed as the company’s first Legal, Governance and Regulatory Affairs
Director.

The new
appointments come about one month after Muinmos hired
IG’s Agnieszka Noworól as the Customer Success Director.

INGOT Brokers Promotes Wael Al Masri to Global Head of Expansion and BDINGOT Brokers has bolstered its executive base by promoting Wael Al Masri to Global Head of Expansion and Business Development. He joined the Jordan offices of INGOT in September 2020 and became the Head of Business Development.

The appointment came when INGOT received a new license from the regulator in Kenya. The broker now has two African licenses, the other in South Africa, and is looking to expand its services in the continent. In addition, it gained another regulatory approval in Seychelles for global services. Though not specified, Al Masri might play a significant role in its expansion of the broker.

Capex.com Onboards Vikas Lakhwani as GCC GMCapex.com has enhanced its management with the latest appointment of Vikas Lakhwani as the GM for the Gulf Cooperation Council region. According to his Linkedin, he has already joined the brokerage and is based in Abu Dhabi.

A prominent name in the MENA region, the broker was established as CFD Global.com in 2016 and later rebranded in 2019 as Capex.com. The platform’s offerings are predominantly trading services with forex and contracts for differences (CFDs) instruments of other popular asset classes.

Lakhwani’s appointment came after Capex.com enhanced its services around cryptocurrencies. Recently, the broker received an in-principal cryptocurrency license from the regulator in Abu Dhabi.

Daniela Egli Departs Skilling, Joins The Trading Pit as Cyprus CEODaniela Egli, who was recruited as the CEO of Skilling’s Cyprus Office in May, has now joined The Trading Pit as the CEO of Cyprus. Egli made her
new role public on Tuesday via an update to her LinkedIn profile.

Before joining Skilling
eight months ago, Egli spent over two and a half years at FXView where she served as the Managing
Director.
