Brace yourselves, Spider-Man is here!
A trailer for the Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse has been released, much to the delight of fans around the world. The movie is a sequel to 2018’s Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse, an Oscar winning fully computer-animated film. The forthcoming release will deep dive into the multiverse — of six universes and counting — to explore the adventures and misadventures of Spider-Man.
This time around, expect our superhero to battle it out against not one but an army of enemies named, Spider-People of the 2099’s Spider. Now, what stands to be unfolded is how the clash pans out, as Spider-Man navigates the challenges thrown his way as he travels in the Spider-Verse with Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacy).
To drop a bit of context, as soon as the trailer begins, Miles Morales is seen having a heart-to-heart conversation with his mother, who cautions him to look out for himself. And well, that pretty much sets the tone for the movie.
Here’s How Fans Have Reacted So Far:

The trailer for Across the Spider-Verse was a little different than what I was expecting. I was hoping for a little more action but the monologue from Miles’s mom gave it a lot of heart. It was awesome to see all the different Spider-Man variants as well.

Regarding the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse trailer – you better not be doing my man Miguel O’Hara dirty by making him the bad guy.

Spider-man across the spider verse, new trailer. My thoughts:
1. It’s about time more of the spider-variations got screen time
2. spider-man 2099 seems to be the bad guy?
3. spider gwen on screen means a surge of spider gwen nsfw art from all over the internet, brace yourselves— Kharossgss512 (@kharossgss512) December 14, 2022
Co- screenplay writers Phil Lord and Chris Miller recently teased that repetition was the last thing they wanted, and the release would feel radically different from the other. Miller further averred, “It is, as Phil said, a very ambitious sequel because we didn’t want to just sort of do the same thing again. And so the idea that we’d be going to different dimensions really opened up an opportunity artistically to have each world have its own art style and to be able to push the folks at ImageWorks to develop a way to have each dimension feel like it was drawn by a different artist’s hand. Seeing the development of that stuff is breathtaking, and really, it’s the reason we keep doing it because it’s so hard to get it right.”
In another interview, the duo hinted at how this multiverse is going to get bigger than one has fathomed. “The Multiverse is big and wide. And all things grow… Why would you think a Multiverse, in which many things are possible, that [those things are] not related? Everything’s possible except for this one thing that everyone wants,” they stated.
