‘Butterfly’ OTT release date announced; Here’s everything you need to know about Anupama Parameswaran’s new film


“Butterfly” will be available for streaming on Disney + Hotstar. It is a film starring Anupama Parameswaran, Nihal Kodhaty, Praveen and Bhumika Chawla in lead roles.

Anupama Parameswaran’s fifth release of the year will directly hit your screens on 29th December 2022. Viewers will be able to watch this film on Disney + Hotstar.

On the work front, it is very apparent that Anupama has had a very on-the-go year. She has had four theatrical and one OTT release in 2022. ‘Butterfly’ is Anupama’s film that has had a direct OTT release, all her other projects for 2022 were released in the theatres.

While making the announcement of Butterfly, Disney + Hotstar stated, “Get. Set. Fly #ButterflyOnHotstar from Dec 29, streaming in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.”

Alongside Anupama Parameswaran, the film also involves Rao Ramesh, Nihal Kodhaty, Praveen and Bhumika Chawla in lead roles. Anupama Parameswaran’s latest appearances include Rowdy Boys, Ante Sundaraniki and Karthikeya 2.

Anupama’s last film, Kartikeya 2 was a major success at the box office. Made on a meagre budget of 15 Crores the film grossed a roaring 100 + crores at the box office.

Anupama, Nikhil Siddhartha and Anupam Kher starrer movie Kartikeya 2 is available on Zee 5. Anupama will be seen sharing the screen with Nikhil Siddhartha again in the upcoming film ’18 Pages’. This film will hit the theatres on December 23.

Disney + Hotstar will also see the release of several other titles like ‘Moving on with Malaika’, and ‘Govinda Mera Naam’. The web series ‘Aar Ya Paar’ will get a release on the same platform on December 30. Hotstar will also undertake the release of Bhuvan Bam’s ‘Taaza Khabar’ in January 2023.
