NIA raids auto driver’s residence over suspected PFI link

By Pramod Madhav: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday raided the residence of an auto driver over suspected links to the now-banned Popular Front of India (PFI).

The NIA officers recovered sharp weapons from terror suspect Umar Shariff’s home during raids at 4 am this morning.

Shariff is said to have been teaching Silambam arts near his residence in Nelpettai, Tamil Nadu.

He has been taken to Chennai for further questioning.
