A Shiva temple collapsed in Rajasthan’s Karauli after an excavation machine collided with the temple on Tuesday. Four women have been pulled out of the debris.
Several women are reportedly buried under the debris.
By India Today Web Desk: A Shiva temple collapsed in Rajasthan’s Karauli after an excavation machine, deployed nearby for drain construction, accidentally hit the temple on Tuesday.
Following the impact, the temple collapsed and a group of women offering prayers at the temple got stuck under the debris.
A police team reached the spot and started a rescue operation with the help of some locals. Four women, who were stuck under the debris, were rescued and taken to a hospital.
Clearance work is underway at the spot.
The construction of drains in Karauli’s Sapotra market, where the incident took place today, has been ongoing for the past several months.
