IND vs NZ, 2nd ODI Highlights: Rohit Sharma anchored India’s chase with a fine-tuned 51 as India registered a series-clinching win over New Zealand on Saturday. Chasing a paltry target of 109 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Cricket Stadium in Raipur, India reached home in 20.1 overs with Shubman Gill also playing a solid knock of 40 not out. Earlier, Mohammed Shami took three wickets, Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar scalped two while Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur and Kuldeep Yadav claimed one each as India bundled out New Zealand for 108 runs. Host skipper Rohit Sharma had won the toss and elected to bowl against the Blackcaps in the second ODI. India have now taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three-match series. They had registering a narrow 12-run win in the opening game in Hyderabad. (SCORECARD)

    Shubman Gill dances down the track and hits the winning runs for India. It’s a four and with it, India seal the three-match series with a game to go. New Zealand were never in the game ever since they got off to a poor start with the bat and India made sure that they remained in the driver’s seat throughout the game.

    A reverse-sweep from Ishan Kishan and India need only 2 runs to win the series against New Zealand. It was a premeditated shot from Kishan but the perfect execution made it look flawless.

    Virat Kohli has been stumped at the score of 11. It was beautiful delivery from Mitchell Santner that got better of Kohli. The left-arm orthodox spinner bowled it around good length area and invited Kohli for a front foot shot. kohli came forward but the ball spun and missed the outside edge of his bat before Tom Latham took off the bails in time.

    Shubman Gill is now turning the heat on. He hit two fours to Michael Bracewell in the 18th over and India now need only 11 runs to win the match. Only a miracle could save New Zealand from here or maybe even that would fall short.

    Second boundary of the innings for Virat Kohli. It was a short ball from Henry Shipley. Kohli didn’t get the pull from the middle of his bat yet the ball raced towards the backward square leg region for a four. India need 21 more to win.

    Wow! That is some shot from Virat Kohli. Henry Shipley bowled a fuller delivery on the stumps with good pace and Kohli presented the full face of the bat to drive the ball down the boundary line for a four.

    Rohit Sharma is out for a score of 51. Henry Shipley gets his wicket. The Indian skipper wanted to play the ball down the leg side but he failed to judge the length of the ball well and thus became the victim of an LBW dismissal.

    A tad fuller from Lockie Ferguson and Shubman Gill hits it for a four. It was an uppish drive from Gill that fell short of the cover fielder and ran for a boundary.

    A short ball to Rohit Sharma in such a situation is nothing but a crime. Lockie Ferguson did it and thus paid the price. The ball had some real good pace in it, but Rohit played a beautiful hook shot on it for a six over fine leg fence.
