What? Manju Warrier missed the chance to act with Ajith, 22 years before ‘Thunivu’?

Manju Warrier the Lady Superstar of Malayalam cinema made her debut in Tamil rather late in her career with ‘Asuran’ directed by Vetrimaaran. Her second Kollywood film ‘Thunivu’ starring Ajith Kumar in the lead and directed by H. Vinoth has become one of the biggest blockbuster hits in recent times.

In her new movie ‘Ayisha’ released on January 20th, Manju plays the real life character of Nilambur Ayisha the first actress from the Muslim community to act in Malayalam films. Her performance has been critically acclaimed.

Manju in a recent interview has shared that she got the chance to act with Ajith Kumar twenty two years back in ‘Kandu Kondein Kandu Kondein’. She stated that she was the first choice to play the role eventually portrayed by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She couldnt do the film at that time as she was busy with several Malayalam projects.

Ajith has inspired Manju to take up biking and he even took her on one of his tours in North Indian along with other bikers. The pretty actress at the age of 44 has applied and got the license to ride bikes last week. She is planning to by a BMW bike and is keen on going to the next level in biking.
